Every friend I have including myself enjoy a sheltered and above average lifestyle, wherein all of our basic needs are met. A common trait that leads one to assume a role of an avid gazer of our human condition must be found in order to not be apathetic.

We all seek out material needs while others struggle to survive, being plagued with conflict far beyond their capabilities. Whether it be a shortage of resources such as water, food, shelter or even instability within ones government it is a common sight outside of our range of scope.

Unfortunately instead of embracing our role as a potential catalyst for change, we instead focus our sights on trivial and typically unadventurous ambitions. Working in the entertainment industry has led me to really see the shallow end of humanity. Roles and titles are sought after in order to maintain status or selfish greed. A perpetuation of the divide and conquer mind state, instead of uniting and maintaining progress.

It is easy to point fingers and to spread blame but really it is my fault just as much as it is anyones elses. We feel powerless and therefore don't realize we are the grease that keeps the machine rolling. If we all were to have a common mindstate then this existance we have created would not grip us so tightly. Instead of focusing on ideals that satisfy a humane existence we push products we do not care about. An active mind that does not realize its full potential is only acting in foolish quantities. We do not see the whole outline and instead focus on a single section of the grid.

I hope to offer less questions and instead express actions we can all take, I'll have to think about it for the next essay.
